FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to endocrinology. The level of albumin-corrected calcium and parathyroid hormone, and the glomerular filtration rate are determined in the blood serum. The parameters of the parathyroid glands are measured according to ultrasound and/or scintigraphy. The consistency of these results is assessed and the value of the IB coefficient is determined according to the formula: KIB=Lprh×Lacc, where: KIB is the IB coefficient, Lprh is the level of parathyroid hormone, Lacc is the level of albumin-corrected calcium. The severity of the indicators is evaluated in points, which are then summarized. Moreover, if the glomerular filtration rate is more than 73 ml/min/1.73 m2 - 2 points are assigned, and if the glomerular filtration rate is equal to or less than 73 ml/min/1.73 m2 - 0 points. If the value of the KIB coefficient is more than 480 - 2 points, and if its value is equal to or less than 480 - 1 point. If the results of ultrasound and scintigraphy are consistent - 1 point, if there is no consistency - 0 points. If the sum of points is less than 2, a multiple lesion of the parathyroid glands is diagnosed, and if the sum of points is equal to or more than 2, a lesion of one parathyroid gland is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform preoperative differential diagnosis of parathyroid lesions in case of sporadic primary hyperparathyroidism, to determine the scope of surgical intervention and exclude the persistence of the disease.
