FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, including experimental one, and can find application in treating secondary hyperparathyroidism. A method consists in total parathyroidectomy combined with single-stage, heterotopic, free replantation of viable removed parathyroids or their fragments. The parathyroid is fragmented. Each fragment is alternately sutured and replanted on an intima, in a lumen of an inflow branch of a great saphenous vein. It is followed with partial programmed parathyroidectomy with preserving secondary hyperparathyroidism.
EFFECT: use of the given invention allows more effective recovery of viability and functional activity of the replanted parathyroid, corrected persistent and recurrent hyperparathyroidism and prevented development of postoperative hypoparathyroidism.
