FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to mining, mainly to coal industry, and can be used for reliability of forecast of methaneobility caused by extraction of methane from developed coal bed, in particular, fraction of methane contained in broken coal. Invention includes destruction of coal by machine tool, coal sampling at coal face edge, on conveyor conveyor, in working atmosphere equipped with conveyor, as well as measurement of methane content in collected samples. Novelty of the invention consists in the fact that the duration of intensive release of methane from coal during its movement along the conveyor and the indicator of dynamics of reduction of intensity of methane release from the coal beat in the bottomhole are established. Measured features are used to determine residual methane content of the broken coal in the working face as per the established relationship. Positive effect is achieved due to accuracy and reliability of the sought value of residual methane content of the coal broken in the coal mine face and its use at forecast of methaneobitance of bottomhole lava space, in particular, methane fraction contained in the broken corner.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of determining residual methane content of coal broken in the bottomhole.
