SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of novel catalytically active materials. Invention relates to a catalyst for liquid-phase conversion of glycerol to lactic acid, which contains porous zirconium terephthalate with UiO-66 structure. Porous zirconium terephthalum with UiO-66 structure is represented by sulphated porous zirconium terephthalate as carrier and bismuth-palladium nanoparticles with size less than 3 nm as an active component. Invention also relates to a method of producing a catalyst.

EFFECT: development of catalyst possessing three types of active centers, and reduction of material costs for production of materials of similar type.
