FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a vacuum emission triode with a high-current "cold" cathode. Invention provides use of a microchannel plate activated to processes of secondary emission of electrons into the channels of which a low-power isotope substance is asymmetrically introduced. Control electrode of the triode is the metallized surface of the other side of the microchannel plate, and between it and the anode a row of other microchannel plates with the function of multiplying the electron flow can be located.

EFFECT: increase of cathode current with provision of environmental safety.
