FIELD: electrical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vacuum electronics devices, namely to a method for manufacturing field-emission cathodes based on assembly of two (chevron) or three (Z-assembly) microchannel plates (MCP). Method of making a cathode based on microchannel plates includes forming a cathode structure by depositing a carbon layer on the surface of the first MCP assembly, containing a large number of microstructures with channels. Autoemission media are formed inside the channels by aerosol solution spraying with carbon nanomaterials, efficiently emitting electrons owing to low work function of electrons. In other assemblies of the assembly there is additional amplification of the electronic flow formed in the first MCP.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increase of maximum current, reliability and improvement of electrophysical parameters of the device.
