KNEE JOINT ENDOPROSTHESIS FOR REPLACEMENT OF AT LEAST PARTS OF KNEE JOINT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61F2/38 A61L27/10

Abstract RU 2731424 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: knee joint endoprosthesis with a femoral component having two condyle surfaces for fixation in the distal portion of the femoral bone, and tibial component for attachment in proximal portion of shin bone and with sliding surfaces between both components. Entire femoral component, or at least its condyle surfaces, consists of dense ceramics for connection with a tibial component. Tibial component includes a tibial plateau from dense ceramics containing a medial spherical cup on its upper side facing the femoral component. Medial spherical cup is an integral part of the shin bone plateau and is made in the form of one part. Surface of the medial condyle of the femoral bone is also spherical and together with the medial spherical cup makes a congruent spherical joint. Laterally adjacent to medial spherical cup is located in anteroposterior direction of multiple radii and not congruent with femoral condyle cup, providing rotation of femoral component, which is movable insert relative to tibial plateau. Above shin component of knee joint endoprosthesis includes a shin bone plateau from dense ceramics, containing a medial spherical cup, which is an integral part of the shin bone plateau and made with one part in it, and next to medial spherical cup is located in anteroposterior from multiple radii and congruent with femoral condyle cup, providing rotation of femoral component, which is a movable insert relative to the tibial plateau.

EFFECT: inventions allow providing optimum wear parameters for optimal parameters of simulating anatomical and kinematic parameters of a natural knee joint, in particular due to suitable combination of materials and reduction of surfaces creating conditions for wear.
