FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electrochemical industry for purification of waste water from galvanic shops from zinc ions. In the washing waste water containing zinc ions, an adsorbent is added, intensively stirred for 25 minutes and settled in a thin-layer settler from non-magnetic material, which outer side of bottom is equipped with permanent magnets, and liquid and solid phases are separated. Adsorbent used is ferromagnetic nanoparticles of aspiration dust of electric-steel making in weight fractions: total iron - 56 %; moisture 0.63 %, copper 0.123 %; oil products 0.08 %; chromium 0.11 %; zinc 18.8 %; balance up to 100 % are ferrites, insoluble in HCl, at weight ratio zinc ions: aspiration dust of electric steel making 1:3...5.
EFFECT: disclosed invention provides purification of washing waste water from zinc ions using secondary raw material as adsorbent.
