FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental neuromorphology, and can be used to assess the degree of influence of experimental ischemia on brain nerve tissue of white rats when staining preparations with haematoxylin and eosin. Digital images are processed using the "Histogram" plug-in to ImageJ 1.46 program. Performing morphometric measurement of obtained color images with size of 3780×2835 pixels and extension of tif of normochromic and hyperchromic neurons, presented in the form of histograms of distribution of pixels in the range of brightness 0–255, where pixels of normochromic neurons are located in range of 98–198, mode 160, and pixels of hyperchromic neurons – in range of 7–74, mode 29.

EFFECT: method enables assessing the degree of experimental ischemia effect on brain nerve tissue of experimental animals in histological examination by using histograms of palette images for morphometric assessment of content of normochromic and hyperchromic neurons of nerve tissue by number of pixels.
