FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to experimental pharmacology, and can be used to correct structural damage to the brain in traumatic brain injury. A method for correcting morphological changes in the brain in traumatic brain injury involves reproducing traumatic brain injury in male rats weighing 270±20 g. To correct morphological changes, trimetazidine is administered intragastrically at a dose of 6.6 mg/kg per day, divided by 2 reception with an interval of 12 hours from 1 to 7 days of the experiment, inclusive. Wherein trimetazidine begins to be administered 2 hours before the simulation of the experimental traumatic brain injury.
EFFECT: invention provides an effective method for correcting morphological changes in the brain in an experimental model of traumatic brain injury.
