FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing novel composite materials with carbon fiber and can be used, in particular, for making structural elements in aviation, aerospace engineering and marine engineering. Method of producing composite material containing carbon and metal includes assembling a stack consisting of alternating layers of metal sheet and reinforcing carbon, and impregnation of the layer of reinforcing carbon fiber formed when heated by eutectic melt, wherein prior to assembly into a package on the surface of the metal sheet or tape of titanium or nickel alloy, forming a layer containing nickel, titanium or nickel and titanium, packet is heated to temperature higher than fusion point of eutectic by not more than 100 °C, and impregnation of reinforcing carbon layer is carried out in direction perpendicular to its plane, formed by melt of eutectic Ti-Ti2Ni.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining composite materials with reinforcing carbon and metal matrix, having specific mechanical characteristics exceeding composite materials with a polymer matrix and alloys.
