FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biomedical cellular technologies. What is presented is a method for laser local hyperthermia of cells or microorganisms involving use of gold nanostars, irradiation of cells or microorganisms with linearly polarized laser radiation, according to the invention, gold nanostars are deposited on the surface of a cell or microorganisms from a colloidal solution, irradiation is performed by pulsed radiation from 500–1,200 nm wavelength range, position of maximum and spectral width of plasmon resonance is monitored by measuring spectral dependence of transmission coefficient of colloidal solution of nanostars in visible and near infrared range, plasmon resonance Q-factor is determined, Q=λmax/Δλ1/2, as the ratio of wavelength λmax, which corresponds to maximum of plasmon resonance, to its spectral width Δλ1/2, which corresponds to reduction of plasmon resonance by half.
EFFECT: what is presented is a method for local laser hyperthermia of cells or microorganisms.
