SUBSTANCE: invention refers to molecular biology and medicine and concerns a diagnostic technique for EBV-associated infectious mononucleosis. In peripheral leukocytes of patients with EBV-associated infectious mononucleosis, mRNA expression is detected SF1.NM_201995, XIAP.NM_001167 and genes BCL2L11, BIRC3, CELF6 and with reduced level of mRNA expression SF1.NM_201995, XIAP.NM_001167 and genes BCL2L11, BIRC3 on the background of increased expression level of CELF6 gene severe disease is diagnosed.

EFFECT: using the given method enables using the molecular-genetic markers to diagnose the severe EBV-IM course.
