METHOD OF PREDICTING RELAPSE OF EPSTEIN-BARR VIRAL INFECTION IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/68 G01N33/573

Abstract RU 2820959 C1

FIELD: medicine; pediatrics; infectology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict relapse of Epstein-Barr viral infection in children. A blood test is performed. In blood plasma, antibodies of the IgG class to the nuclear antigen of the Epstein-Barr virus are determined using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and the concentration of neopterin using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. In the presence of IgG antibodies to the nuclear antigen of the Epstein-Barr virus and a neopterin concentration of more than 4.2 nmol/l, a relapse of Epstein-Barr virus infection is predicted.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to simplify the prediction of relapse of Epstein-Barr virus infection in children, optimize patient management tactics at the stages of dynamic observation and treatment, by determining the presence of IgG antibodies to the nuclear antigen of the Epstein-Barr virus in the blood and the concentration of neopterin.
