FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to manual therapy, and can be used for treating tension headaches. First, patient undergoes pneumatic traction of cranio-cervical spine for 10 minutes, after which there is a state of rest, turning into rest for 5 minutes; then the patient occupies a comfortable position on the lying on the abdominal couch, the doctor is located on the concerned side and, after treatment of the local muscular trigger zone in the area of biologically active points, observing all rules of aseptic and antiseptic using Cerebrum-compositum and Coenzyme-compositum homeopathic preparations, is introduced in turns into the interested myofascial zones closer to the Bai-Hui points, the extra-canal Yin-tang point, the Jiao Sun point, the Hou-Ding point by the perfusion method in amount of 2.0 ml of each preparation, the total time of myofascial perfusion is taken 10 minutes; after this manipulation patient rests for 3–5 minutes, after which patient in relaxed state with quiet breathing manual therapy using musculoskeletal technique, wherein the doctor fixes the atlanto-acciplital joint from two sides, wherein the cervical spine and muscular hypertrophy of the cervical muscles are controlled by the doctor; after bilateral fixation of these anatomical areas, the doctor, with patient's breathing, performs myofascial release by traction combined with flexion 5–10 degrees on the cranio-cervical segment in the cranial direction; this complex method is repeated 5–6 times on an interested muscle of the skull and cervical spine with rest for 1–2 minutes; at the end of this manual intervention, the patient rests with a calm breathing rhythm for 4–5 minutes.
EFFECT: method enables eliminating muscular hypertonus and sensoropathic painful cranialgic syndrome in the interested skeletal muscles of the head due to the complex physical and manual effects on the patient with underlying pharmacotherapy.
