FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: installation for cutting cantilever beams afloat in smooth ice cover relates to equipment required during production of cantilever beams in natural ice cover of marine and freshwater reservoirs to determine characteristics of bending strength of flat ice. Device consists of chain saw with hydraulic drive mounted on rigid frame arranged on sledge; saw unit is installed with one of longitudinal sides of sledge on movable platform, which can move along guides by means of winch, which ensures accuracy of ice cutting, and arrangement of saw unit with one of longitudinal sides of sledge makes it possible to perform cutting of cant without creation of preliminary load on cantilever. Control panel of sawing process, as well as winch, is mounted on sleigh. Hydraulic station is detachable, which ensures no spattering of station with salt water and ice chips when cutting ice. Power supply of hydraulic station is carried out from gas generator, which is also remote.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of cutting ice during production of ice cantilever beam to obtain characteristics of strength of flat ice in bending in natural conditions.
