FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of nuclear energy and can be used to produce pellets of nuclear fuel based on MNUP (ceramic type of nuclear fuel, which is a mixture of uranium nitride and plutonium (U, Pu)N). The method of producing pelletized nuclear fuel includes forming a charge in the form of a homogeneous mixture consisting of dispersed powder and alloying additives, pressing and sintering the charge. Alloying additives - powder of nickel or nickel-chromium alloy in the amount of 0.05-1 wt.%. Electropulse pressing is carried out by passing a short current pulse under static pressure, while the process is carried out in a closed sealed glove box with an airlock.
EFFECT: invention improves the manufacturability of the method.
