FIELD: agriculture; forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and forestry. Disclosed is a method of forest development of lands contaminated with radionuclides, involving development of lands not covered by forest and excluded from agricultural use by planting forest tree plants to form forest stands, density of planting of which is determined through parameters of crowns in middle-aged plantation. At the same time forest development is carried out in one stage by setting of English oak. Number of trees to be planted is set depending on the yield class by formula: Nb ≥ 10,000/Dkb, where Nb - number of trees to be planted in a site with a certain class of site quality, not less than, pieces/ha, Dkb - diameter of crowns of trees in middle-aged plantation on a site with a certain class of quality, m. Diameter of crown of oak tree in middle-aged plantation according to classifications is equal to: Ib - 2.5 m; Ia - 2.3 m; I - 2.0 m; II - 1.8 m, and its landing is carried out simultaneously with treatment of soil in the pre-winter period to stable frosts during the beginning of formation of snow cover.
EFFECT: method ensures formation of environmentally sustainable forest phytocenosis of high productivity and low natural burning with minimum silvicultural treatment.
