SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a beverage preparation device (10) for preparing a liquid beverage from a cartridge, wherein the device comprises a first liquid feed circuit (13) configured to selectively supply fluid at a predetermined temperature and/or volume from liquid container (10) of device (10) to the cartridge, inserted into device, second circuit (14) for supply of liquid, configured to selectively supply liquid with a predetermined temperature and/or volume from the device fluid reservoir (22) to the device fluid outlet (11b), control unit (15) intended to control the first and second fluid feed circuits (13, 14) and network unit (16) comprising a network interface for communicating with the external electronic device (1) over a network, wherein control unit (15) is configured to separately control selective fluid supply from first and second fluid feed circuits (13, 14) in response to information received by network unit (16).
