SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental biology and medicine. Described is a method for assessing the sputum eosinophil and nasal secretion saturation with an eosinophilic cationic protein. Cytological examination of nasal secretion or induced sputum is carried out in coloring with 0.5 % aqueous solution of bromophenol blue followed by immersion microscopy. In microscopy, eosinophils are defined as cells containing large dark-violet granules with uncolored cytoplasm and nucleus. That is followed by a semi-quantitative assessment of visualized eosinophils from 1 to 3 points, where "3" points corresponds to complete filling of the cytoplasm with granules without light gaps, "2" point corresponds to the presence of few lumens between the granules, "1" point corresponds to single cytoplasm granules. That is followed by counting the average coefficient of eosinophil saturation with bromophenol-positive granules.

EFFECT: possibility of selective assessment of cationic protein content in eosinophils, which are the main factor of respiratory mucosa damage in case of allergic inflammation.
