FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and is intended for use in quarry excavators. Method of operation of excavator bucket opening drive, in which cable is tensioned, connected through system of levers with latch, by winding it on drum with the help of electric motor in two modes: pulling of rope and opening of bucket bottom by torque increase. At that, torque control is additionally carried out with the help of electromagnetic powder coupling installed between electric motor shaft and drum. At that moment values in modes of cable pulling and bucket bottom opening are set by setting of current values of electromagnetic powdered coupling.
EFFECT: simplified design and improved reliability of excavator bucket opening drive during rock loading.
