SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for delivering a therapeutically active agent into the eye. Pharmaceutical composition for delivering a therapeutically active agent into the eye for treating or preventing ophthalmic diseases or disorders contains a solid carrier in the form of a nonwoven or woven material made from water-soluble fibers and at least one therapeutically active agent. Also provided is an ophthalmic pharmaceutical composition for delivering a therapeutically active agent into the eye for treating or preventing ophthalmic diseases or disorders, which contains or consists of a solid carrier in the form of a nonwoven or woven material made of water-soluble fibers and at least one therapeutically active agent. Solid carrier is impregnated with said at least one therapeutically active agent. Water-soluble fibers contain at least 40 wt % of hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) or its (her) pharmaceutically acceptable salt. In another embodiment, use of a nonwoven or woven material made from water-soluble fibers containing or consisting of nanofibres is disclosed, made of hyaluronan or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt as a solid carrier for at least one therapeutically active agent in an ophthalmic pharmaceutical composition. Fibers also contain at least 40 wt % of hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt.

EFFECT: using the group of inventions enables providing more effective delivery of the therapeutically active agent into the eye.
