SUBSTANCE: method of controlling a system of inerting provided for injecting an inert gas stream into at least one fuel tank of an aircraft when executing an existing flight target of said aircraft. According to the present invention, the method involves the following steps: determining the value of at least one flight task parameter of the aircraft at a given moment; determining the relationship between the determined value of the flight setting parameter and the value of the equivalent parameter of the certified standard flight profile at a given moment and establishing, based thereon, the weight coefficient; application of weight coefficient for weighing of value of inert gas consumption recommended by certified standard flight profile for value of equivalent parameter at specified moment, with determination of appropriate flow of inert gas for injection for real needs of flight task at given moment; control of inerting system for injection of inert gas with definite flow at preset moment.

EFFECT: invention discloses a method of controlling a fuel tank inertisation system and an inerting system for realizing said method.
