FIELD: transport machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft fuel inerting system. Method of controlling system (1) of inerting at least one fuel tank of an aircraft comprises, at a predetermined moment and at constant air temperature and atmospheric pressure, during which the inert gas flow is reduced to a certain value, the operation, during which the air pressure is reduced to increase the oxygen content from the initial value to a certain value. Operation of reduction of inert gas consumption is performed by compensation of loss of inert gas flow caused by operation of air pressure reduction. Operation of air pressure reduction is performed by compensation of oxygen content reduction caused by operation of reduction of inert gas consumption. System (1) of inerting comprises at least one air separation module (2), which is supplied at inlet (2a) with air at a defined pressure to generate at inert gas outlet (2b), injected into fuel tank, having a certain flow rate and a certain content of oxygen.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of fuel and operating costs of the inerting system.
