SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a beverage preparation device comprising a cartridge holder with a cartridge receiving device for receiving a cartridge filled with the beverage substance, wherein the cartridge receiving device has a receiving opening, wherein cartridge receiving device includes water supply line for water supply to cartridge and compressed air supply line for compressed air supply into cartridge, wherein cartridge receiving device is made with possibility of movement between filling position, in which cartridge is inserted into receiving hole or extracted from receiving hole, and working position, in which as a result of supply of water and compressed air into the cartridge and interaction of water with the beverage substance in the cartridge is the produced beverage, and the beverage is released from the beverage cartridge outlet hole, wherein cartridge receiving device has first fixing element and second fixing element, wherein the first fixing element has a receiving opening, and wherein in order to transfer the cartridge receiving device from the filling position into the working position or from the working position to the filling position, the first fixing element is movable relative to the second fixing element.
