FIELD: liquid atomisation or spraying devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control housing, which is connected or is made with possibility of connection with cartridge, which is equipped with heating element and contains composition of aerosol precursor, wherein the control body is connected or is configured to be connected to the cartridge to form an aerosol delivery device, in which the heating element is configured to activate and evaporate the components of the aerosol precursor composition, wherein the control housing comprises: a shell and a flow sensor inside the shell, configured to detect the air flow through at least a portion of the shell and outputting the airflow detection signal in response to the thus detected air stream; control component, made with possibility of operation in active mode, in which control housing is connected to cartridge, wherein control component in active mode is configured to control heating element for activation and evaporation of components of aerosol precursor composition; and proximity sensor, configured to detect presence of object near control housing without need for any physical contact with object, wherein the proximity sensor or the control component is further configured to control operation of the at least one functional element of the aerosol delivery device in response to the thus detected presence of the object, wherein the proximity sensor is an inductive, capacitive, ultrasonic, Hall effect, photoelectric or non-mechanical magnetic proximity sensor, the proximity sensor is further configured to output a proximity detection signal in response to the thus detected presence of the object, wherein the proximity sensor or the control component with the possibility of controlling the operation of the at least one functional element includes the control component with possibility of initiating operation in active mode in response to both proximity detection signal and air flow detection signal and, thus, controlling heating element for activation and evaporation of components of aerosol precursor composition.

EFFECT: technical result is providing an aerosol.
