SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and discloses a diagnostic technique for complications of viral and bacterial aetiology in the patients with chronic lymphatic leukemia (CLL). Method consists in the fact that patients in serum of venous blood are examined for the level of neopterin, and if the level of neopterin is 12.2 to 35.0 nmol/l, the complications of viral aetiology are diagnosed, and if the neopterin level is 35.1 to 110.51 nmol/l diagnosing complications of bacterial genesis. Invention provides higher diagnostic accuracy of bacterial and viral complications in early (including preclinical) stages in CLL patients on out-patient and in-patient care, which enables conducting preventive measures and prescribing treatment in due time, as well as this method can be used to monitor the effectiveness of the therapy.

EFFECT: invention can be used for diagnosing complications of viral and bacterial aetiology in patients at various stages of chronic lymphatic leukemia, including before clinical manifestations.
