FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely neurology. Six biologically active points (BAP) on the patient's side, six symmetrical BAP on the healthy side of the face and one BAP in the middle of the face in the area of the nasal septum are determined. That is followed by measuring the response of nerve endings to the produced electrical stimulation in each BAP. Thereafter, continuous infrared laser radiation of near infrared radiation with power of about 1 Watt is applied to face area. Exposure area is 1 cm², and the radiation wavelength and exposure time t are calculated so that at depth of 1 to 10 mm from the skin surface energy density - dose is in range of 0.01–10 J/cm². When the skin surface is heated in the region of exposure, the radiation power is reduced by 2 times, and the exposure time t is increased by 2 times. Therapeutic course is 10–12 procedures twice a week. In 3 months after the therapeutic course, the nerve endings are repeatedly measured for the electric stimulation performed in each BAP, and if necessary, the therapeutic course is repeated. Patient is followed dynamically every 6 months.

EFFECT: method enables eliminating pain sensations, restoring sensitivity, preventing development of contractures of facial muscles.
