SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry, particularly to production of microcrystalline nickel tungstate (NiWO4) coatings on a nickel foil carrier which can be used as catalysts in systems requiring high catalytic activity. Method includes immersing nickel foil in melt of 50 mol. % of Li2WO4 - 50 mol. % WO3 at temperature from 800 to 900 °C in atmosphere of air with duration of 10 s.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the process of producing microcrystalline nickel tungstate and improves its manufacturability as a micropowder catalyst.
