SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of adjusting the depth of cultivation of a ploughing tool, wherein the ploughing implement comprises a plurality of soil-interacting tools for penetrating into the soil and its movement and a depth adjustment device configured to control the depth of processing of at least one of the tools interacting with the earth, wherein the method includes steps of receiving control data indicative of at least one of the ploughing tool operations or the field state through which the ploughshare moves, and the operation of the depth adjustment device is automatically controlled such that the depth of processing of at least one earth-interacting tool is controlled based on the received control data.

EFFECT: method provides automatic control of the ploughing tool depth on the basis of information which can be related either to the operation of the ploughing tool itself or to the state of the field through which the ploughshare moves.
