FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: plough is comprised of a ground-interacting tool, a drive mechanism configured to provide a displacement force to the ground-interacting tool so that it is displaced to the working position, and a controller configured to automatically set the level of the displacement force provided by the drive mechanism, based on control data. The drive mechanism is a protective trip mechanism. The control data contains previous actuation event data illustrating one or more earlier events when the ground-interacting tool has left the working position thereof. A method of tilling with a plough containing a ground-interacting tool, a drive mechanism configured to provide a displacement force to the ground-interacting tool so that it is displaced to the working position. The method includes the stage of automatically setting the level of the displacement force provided by the drive mechanism, based on the control data. The control data contains previous actuation event data illustrating one or more earlier events when the ground-interacting tool has left the working position thereof.
EFFECT: depth adjustment of ground-interacting tools is improved.
