SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for estimating a vehicle and a method and a device for correcting a route. Method for determining a vehicle comprises steps of calculating a carrier vehicle path, detecting another vehicle, located in perpendicular direction with respect to tangent direction of movement direction, setting the movement path as the first axis with the current position of the carrier vehicle as the origin point, defining the vehicle detection area in the perpendicular direction with respect to the tangent direction of the route relative to the first axis and, when position of detected other vehicle falls into vehicle detection area, determining that the other vehicle is present sideways relative to the carrier vehicle.

EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
