SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for correction of a position error in an automobile with driving assistance. Vehicle is provided with a controller which corrects an error occurring between the position of the vehicle and the target route during movement with driving assistance. Method comprises steps of detecting a lane boundary for a lane on which a vehicle is traveling, calculation of target value for value of lateral correction of target route by comparison of positional relations between lane boundary detection results and the target route on the map, changing the lateral movement speed for the target route to calculate the target value for the side correction value in accordance with the azimuth of the host vehicle, wherein the azimuth is the pitch angle of the vehicle and correcting the target route by moving the target route sideways in a lateral direction by a value equal to the side correction value.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
