FIELD: devices for handling liquid radioactive wastes.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for drying radioactive ion-exchange resins includes a thermoreactor including a cylindrical container and a pressure-tight cover, a heater disposed on the outer surface of the thermoreactor, condenser of water vapor connected by main line to thermoreactor, condensate receiver connected by main line with condenser of water vapor, vacuum pump, which input is connected to condensate receptacle, and outlet - to air discharge main line. Thermoreactor comprises a mixer mounted on a hermetically sealed cover inside a thermoreactor and equipped with a rotation drive; the cylindrical container of the thermoreactor is detachable. Heater is made with possibility of separation into two parts and includes heating circuit filled with coolant, and including heat exchanger connected to heat source, compressor, condenser, pressure reducing valve and infrared heaters, wherein capacitor is made so that in assembled position of heater it covers cylindrical container of thermoreactor.

EFFECT: invention enables to carry out drying of radioactive ion-exchange resins with higher energy efficiency.
