FIELD: liquid radioactive waste.
SUBSTANCE: devices for handling liquid radioactive waste. Invention is related to devices for handling radioactive ion exchange resins to obtain a product suitable for long-term storage. The installation for drying radioactive ion exchange resins includes a removable cylindrical container mounted on the bottom base and a heater. A stirrer is placed in the hermetically sealed lid of the cylindrical container. The heater tightly covers the cylindrical container. A condensate outlet line is connected to the hermetically sealed lid, on which a steam ejector is installed. The steam ejector is connected to a water vapor condenser. The water vapor condenser is connected to a condensate drain, which is connected to a condensate removal pump and a filter to remove radioactive aerosols. The condensate removal pump is connected to a special container for collecting liquid radioactive waste. The refrigerant circulation circuit consists of a heat exchanger connected to a heat source, a compressor, a condenser, designed in such a way that in the assembled position of the heater tightly covers the cylindrical container of the thermal reactor, a pressure reducing valve, and a refrigerant supply pump.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce energy consumption when drying radioactive ion exchange resins.
