FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: system for illuminating and imaging a sample comprises a lens of objective, a first light source for feeding a first light of illumination through a lens of objective into a flow cell using a first grid on a flow cell, a first image sensor for capturing visualization light by means of a lens of objective, wherein the first array is located outside the field of view of the first image sensor; and a second image sensor configured to capture an image of at least a first grid and a planar waveguide in a flow cell, wherein the system is configured to estimate the image by estimating the alignment of the illumination light relative to the flow cell.
EFFECT: technical result is providing low-power lighting with low background level for high-speed scanning imaging with high lighting synchronization and recording.
