FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply to auxiliary equipment of vehicles. Disclosed is a method of operating on-board network of a rail vehicle. At that, the on-board network includes a busbar, a supply unit, a busbar power supply line, comprising a switch, an auxiliary device, a first power supply line (28a) of the auxiliary device connected to the busbar, second power supply line (28b) of auxiliary device connected to output side of supply unit for bypass of busbar. Besides, both power supply lines (28a, 28b) of auxiliary device contain commutator accordingly. At that, the method consists in the fact that before the fault condition of the busbar the switch of the first power supply line (28a) of the auxiliary device is closed, the switch of second line (28b) is open, and the auxiliary device is supplied with electricity through the first power supply line (28a). In case of failure condition of busbar, switch of power supply line (28a) of auxiliary device is opened, and switch of second line (28b) of power supply is closed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reliable supply of auxiliary device with electric power.
