FIELD: pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method of treating a dermatological disorder specified in a group consisting of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. Method comprises topical administration to a patient of a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound comprising an N-lipoic amino acid or peptide derivative, having following formula (I): N-lipoic acid-(X)n-ZR1 Formula (I). Lipoic is a lipoic (Lp) radical, (X)n is a peptide having n amino acid residues, wherein each of amino acid residues X is independently selected from any amino acid, n is an integer relating to range of 0–2, Z is a carboxy-terminal amino acid residue, wherein each of the amino acid residues is independently selected from any amino acid, R1 denotes NHR3, R3 denotes H. Invention also discloses use of a therapeutic composition containing a compound of formula (I) and use of the compound of formula (I).
