FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for purifying water from cyanobacteria and green algae, comprising copper sulphate powder and a binding agent - hydrophobization agent, wherein as a binding agent contains a hydrophobizator melt in the form of a fraction of refractory triglycerides to ensure formation of a super-hydrophobic coating based thereon with a contact angle of 155-165°, by adding hydrophobizator melt into heated to temperature of 60-70° copper sulphate powder, with the following ratio of components, wt%: copper sulphate - 85-97; melt of hydrophobizator in form of fraction of refractory triglycerides - balance, followed by uniform stirring, holding at temperature 65°C for no more than 5 minutes, cooling to room temperature and grinding the obtained mixture to a disperse state with particle size of 50-250 mcm.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency in cleaning reservoirs from cyanobacteria and green algae.
