SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plunger rod assemblies for a syringe. Assembly comprises: a first component of a plunger rod comprising a first gear rack; a second component of the plunger rod comprising a second gear rack; a first gear wheel comprising teeth of the gear wheel for engagement with the first gear rack; and a second gear wheel comprising second teeth of the gear wheel for engagement with the second gear rack, wherein the first gear wheel is engaged with the second gear wheel such that the translational movement of the first component of the plunger rod causes translational movement of the second component of the plunger rod, and wherein first gear wheel is spaced from second gear wheel by third gear wheel.
EFFECT: accurate, microliter dosing syringe is proposed.
