FIELD: absorbent materials.

SUBSTANCE: absorbent material (102) for detecting moisture includes a fiberglass material and an indicator material for indicating moisture absorption. Indicator material for indication of moisture absorption is a component of the glass fiber material and changes color from the first color to the second color upon exposure to moisture. Color change can be thermally irreversible below threshold temperature (e.g. below temperature of 450 °F (232 °C).

EFFECT: absorbent materials for moisture detection are disclosed.
