FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in cable, rubber and electrical industry in making electroconductive rubber and plastics, as well as chemical current sources and fuel cells. Method of producing electroconductive technical carbon includes mixing fuel with air, supply of axial flow of hydrocarbon material and two coaxial main and auxiliary flows of oxygen-containing gas at ratio of (1.8-3.6):1. Consumption of auxiliary coaxial flow is 6-20% of total consumption of oxygen-containing gas. Method includes thermal decomposition of raw materials in fuel combustion products with formation of an aerosol of technical carbon and its activation by additional introduction into reaction chamber of radial flows of oxygen-containing gases with consumption of 2-20% of total consumption of oxygen-containing gas of process, hardening and separation of technical carbon from gas products. Then, technical carbon is granulated, dried, are classified into narrower fractions and subjected to thermal gas-chemical treatment in a rotating layer with external electric or gas heating at 700-1100°C in the presence of superheated water vapor to a relative weight loss of a unit volume of granulated technical carbon of 5 to 75%. Steam flow is 2.0-24.0 kg per 1 kg of granulated technical carbon.

EFFECT: invention increases specific surface area, structure and electrical conductivity of electroconductive technical carbon.
