DISPOSABLE SINGLE-DOSE INHALER FOR POWDERED MEDICINAL PREPARATIONS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61M15/00 A61M15/06

Abstract RU 2738554 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an inhaler for powdered medicinal preparations and a disposable single-dose device for inhalation of powdered medicinal preparations. Inhaler consists of hollow body in form of smoking pipe, which comprises first section (1) for accommodating cartridge (C) with powdered drug preparation. Inhaler has second portion (2) connected perpendicular to first portion (1) for delivering a medicament by main air flow (FP), which transports powder from inner relief area (5) located at the bottom of first section (1), along delivery channel (3), which end is made with possibility of being placed into patient's mouth. Delivery channel (3) is divided horizontally by partition wall (4) into upper channel (3a), which delivers said main air flow (FP), and lower channel (3b), which delivers non-powder auxiliary air flow (FS). Intake of air forming the main air flow (FP) is performed through three air receivers (7). Intake of air forming auxiliary air flow (FS) is performed through air intake (8) formed at distal end of lower channel (3b). Inhaler comprises support base for cartridge (C) inside first section (1), oriented flow passages (11) formed in said support base, which extend between three air receivers (7) and inner area (5) of powder discharge. A disposable single-dose device comprises an inhaler and a self-perforating cartridge with a powdered drug fixed on a support base of the said inhaler.

EFFECT: technical result is providing, even in weak suction mode, the formation of swirls, which increases the inhalation ratio of the drug, ease of installation and stability of the cartridge, provision of auxiliary air flow supply and provision of sufficient flow rate and minimum resistance for auxiliary air flow, as well as increase in safety and ease of use.
