FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of devices intended for analysis of properties of objects using magnetic, acoustic and electromagnet-acoustic methods of nondestructive testing. Mechanism can be used for flaw detection of rails foot laid in track, at rail-welding enterprises and at metallurgical plants for production of rails. Mechanism for flaw detection of rails foot comprises carriage capable to move along rail rolling surface, equipped with rotary levers, at ends of which there are emitters / receivers of flaw detection facilities. Levers are directed obliquely into gap between rail neck and rail fasteners to sleepers and provide constant contact of radiators / receivers with upper surface of feathers of rail foot.

EFFECT: as a result, quality of flaw detection is improved due to constant contact of flaw detection facilities with surfaces of foot feathers, besides, absence of gaps reduces power losses of probing signals.
