SUBSTANCE: invention is used for flaw detection of the rail foot. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the magnetizing device is made in the form of an electromagnet containing a U-shaped magnetic circuit, which is covered by a magnetizing coil, and the electromagnet poles are directed to the rail surface with a minimum gap, the device is made with the possibility of moving along the rail surface, and the magnetic circuit with a magnetizing coil is placed under the rail head in the space between the rail neck and the elements of rail fasteners to the sleepers, the poles of the magnetic circuit are directed to the feather of the rail foot, the magnetic circuit in the middle part has an upward bend the dimensions of which allow installing and removing the device bypassing the elements of the rail fasteners.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at providing possibility of diagnostics of the most complex element of the operating rail track with optimal energy consumption, dimensions and weight of the device.
