FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for recovery of worn splined and toothed profiles on shafts. Method involves preliminary drilling of cylindrical hole, axis of which coincides with geometrical axis of shaft, installation of said shaft with worn profile coaxially with installed on mandrel working tool with toroidal contacting surface, and performing compensation of worn-out profile by movement of metal from underlying layers of shaft by movement of said working tool in axial shaft hole with subsequent forming and calibrating passes along spline or toothed profile, performed by means of device consisting of rolling head with rollers arranged in it on support rings. Axial ultrasound oscillations with amplitude equal to 20–26 mcm and frequency equal to 20–22 kHz are applied to said working tool simultaneously with its movement along axial shaft hole.
EFFECT: invention allows reducing axial forces for deformation, increasing tool durability and using standard process equipment.
