FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovery of shaft seating surface for rolling bearing. A cylindrical hole is drilled in the shaft, the axis of which coincides with its geometrical axis, compensation of wear by movement of metal from underlying layers of the shaft by movement of the working tool in the axial hole of the shaft. Working tool is moved relative to hole with simultaneous heating by electric contact method of deformed volume of shaft to hardening temperatures and metal is lifted along entire width of mounting surface. At reverse stroke of the tool the external surface of the shaft with phase changes is cooled down and its further mechanical treatment under the landing size.
EFFECT: result is high-quality fit with tension of connection of shaft - rolling bearing.
