FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure, it can be used to restore the fit surface under a rolling bearing. The method includes drilling a cylindrical hole, the axis of which coincides with the geometric axis of the workpiece, and a wear compensation by moving the metal from the underlying layers of the shaft by moving the working tool in the axial hole of the shaft. The working tool is moved relatively to the hole with simultaneous electric contact heating of the deformable volume of the workpiece to quenching temperatures. The metal is lifted along the entire width of the fit surface, when the tool returns through a system of channels in the mandrel and the working tool, the surface of the hole is cooled and then machined to suit the fit size.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to restore the fit surface under the rolling bearing and provide a high-quality fit with the tension of the press connection “shaft-rolling bearing”.
