FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for restoration of shaft-rolling bearing joint. Method includes drilling of cylindrical hole, axis of which coincides with geometrical axis of workpiece and compensation of wear by movement of metal from underlying layers of shaft by movement of working tool in axial hole of shaft. After drilling the hole, the shaft mounting neck is heated to the forging temperatures, the antifriction bearing is installed on the worn-out mounting surface, based on the end surface of the inner ring and movement of the working tool relative to the hole, metal is lifted along the width of the mounting neck of the rolling bearing until a preset interference fit is created.
EFFECT: providing high-quality interference fit.
