FASCIOPATHY SIMULATION METHOD IN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2739117 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine and can be used for simulating plantar fasciopathy in laboratory animals. Method involves administering an alprostadil diluted to concentration of 5,000 ng in 1 ml of the final solution into a pelvic sole abdomen of dogs. Alprostadil solution is introduced intra- and paraaponeurotically at 1 cm distally from the attachment point of the plantar aponeurosis to the calcaneal bone once week for 4 weeks in high-dose 20,000 ng.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables simulating in 100 % experimental animals long-term degenerative changes in the structure of aponeurosis similar to those in humans, which is necessary for developing methods of treating plantar fasciopathy and assessing their effectiveness, the clinical model is characterized by representativeness, accessibility, reproducibility, technical simplicity and does not require use of complex equipment and prolonged anaesthesia of animals.
